Gary Panter’s FeedDemon Illustration

Gary Panter is perhaps best known as the head set designer for Pee Wee’s Playhouse and the creator of album covers for artists such as Frank Zappa and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it’s his work as an underground cartoonist that first impressed me.

So, when I discovered that Panter offers custom artwork based on free association of your keywords, I immediately pulled out my wallet. Thinking that Panter could create an unusual illustration for FeedDemon, I gave him the words “news” and “demon” and waited for him to complete the artwork. Well, he did not disappoint me :) Panter’s FeedDemon illustration arrived yesterday, and as you can see it’s nicely done. It’s not exactly the sort of design you’d expect as a corporate logo, but you can be sure I’ll find a good spot for it. Thanks, Gary!
