FeedDemon Wins SIA Award

Last night I returned from this year’s Shareware Industry Conference, and I’m pleased to report that FeedDemon won an SIA award for “Best Internet Enhancement or Utility.” I’m not much of a public speaker so my acceptance speech was shockingly brief, but I do want everyone who attended to know how thankful I am that I won.

Unfortunately, my laptop’s modem died while I was away, so I’ve got quite a bit of catching up to do. If you’re waiting for a reply to an email or forum question, you should hear from me during the next 24 hours or so.

  1. Congrats on the win Nick! Concerning topstyle… it’s too bad they didn’t have web development tools in a separate category. After seeing The Bat in there… I knew it was going to be a tough one to win. Although I had my money on Feeddemon for the win the whole time :)

  4. Congratulations, Nick…well-deserved win with FeedDemon!
    Not to sound off with sour grapes, but TopStyle was, IMHO, miscategorized as “Best Web Enhancement”…that implies that you can do without it (it simply enhances).
    Anyone on Windows wanting to code clean, validating CSS and (X)HTML will NEED TopStyle, so I think “Best Application” would have been a more appropriate nomination (although it’s still great you were recognized for your 1st class work).

    I was there (my company’s SecureCRT was unfortunate enough to have to go up against FeedDemon) and I missed the chance to congratulate you in person. Actually, I predicted before I left for the conference that FeedDemon woul dbe the winner. Congratulations! As I turn more and more of my co-workers onto RSS, FeedDemon is the application of choice because it is software done right.
